Who’s Your Daddy?

Here Pappy Inkblot will list the web-sites that have the word “inkblot” in their TLD (top-level-domain), looking for the one that can beat, or boast about beating, Inkblot’s original creation date of Inkblot.com, which was December 7th, 1998, the date that I originally registered this fine domain name! Oh come on, it’s all just fun and games, and a little saber rattling, so don’t go getting your panties all in a bunch over it (though I’m still your daddy!).

In no particular order (I’m too lazy to WHOIS them all and put a date to them):

Inkblot Password – A Microsoft research web-site that is testing the use of Inkblots for super-secure, iron-clad passwords. Bill (yes, Mr. Gates), if I’ve told you once I’ve told you a thousand times to stay off of my turf. Sure, we live in the same area, but that doesn’t mean I want to sit down to dinner with you every night of the week. By the way, Bill Gates is a pretty good guy, so get off of his back. (p.s., Bill, can you spare a million?).

Inkblot Test - Here you can take the actual Ink Blot Test online. Yeah, I own the site, but you already knew that didn’t you.

Inkblot Magazine – Though obviously not what it used to be, Dave? I have some history with this web-site wanting to buy me out years ago, though nothing obviously ever came of it. Now it looks as though it was picked up by a blogger-possibly-spammer who runs it as a shell of it’s former glory. It USED to be a good site. It isn’t anymore.. *Full-Disclosure; I do know that InkblotMagazine.com was originally registered on June 28th, 1998, almost 6 months prior to my Inkblot.com registration on December 7th, 1998, but it’s not the same owner(s) anymore so it doesn’t count in my book, as the original Inkblot Magazine (Dave?) was a great indie-spot for music and entertainment news over the years. Perhaps the reason they didn’t pick up Inkblot.com when they registered InkblotMagazine.com was because it was already registered at the time to someone else, and that someone else at the time was not me. I got it on a drop when a lady had let it lapse and I registered it the day it became available as I had two eyeballs on it for quite some time, and a quick trigger-finger set to go all ape-shit on Register.com when the time was right. I’d been going by “Inkblot” since at least 1994 so I’d always wanted it, and wanted it, and wanted it. And I got it. And I’m keeping it.

Inkblot.org – This web-site, which I already own, will be my charitable arm, TIF ~ The Inkblot Foundation©, when I’m making millions, if not bazillions, of dollars. Mini-me, anyone?

The Inkblot – A parody online Inkblot Test site, with rebuffed legal threats to prove that the folks running this site have balls as big as, well, bowling balls. I like!

Inkblot Test Wallpaper – Pretty cool works of Inkblot art can be found here, if your web-site, and/or viewer’s eyeballs, can sustain it’s design character and visual sensory overload after implementing them. Nonetheless, bravo!

My Choice Inkblot – An online Inkblot Test of some sort, though I’d personally skip it as seems a bit dodgy (that’s the British in me talking!) to me, and it appears to be a pay-site as well. Nothing wrong with making a buck in life, but…

Digital Inkblot – Nicely designed artist’s web-site. While Flash is beautiful, most folks don’t like dealing with the load-time, and search engines don’t like spidering them. Keep up the great work though! Inkblot likes!

Digital-Inkblot – A place where amateurs can write, and write, and write…

Stay tuned, there’s more to come…
